Where Stress Goes to Die (But the Magic Lives On)
I recently cashed in on what might be the best surprise gift ever, courtesy of my boyfriend: a drop-in visit at Wat Po Thai Spa in West Hollywood. Now, he had been singing its praises for ages, but I didn't realize I was about to be transported to a place where stress doesn't just leave--it begs for mercy. I was graciously helped by Lisa, who had me set up for a massage in mere minutes.
Peter, my massage maestro for the day, was nothing short of legendary. This guy doesn't just give massages; he orchestrates a symphony of serenity. Sure, it's painful, but in a good way. Picture this: one minute, I'm a tangled bundle of tension; the next, I'm thinking, "Should I float home or just move in and live here forever?"
The spa's ambiance was the cherry on top--think calming Thai melodies, the faint scent of lemongrass, and a location so peaceful in the middle of bustling La Cienega it could make a monk envious. By the time Peter was done, I was half convinced I'd unlocked the secrets of nirvana. I walked in with stress and stiffness and walked out as a blissed-out noodle.
To anyone considering a visit, do yourself a favor: go. And when I tell you it's going to be great, trust me--I'm revealing a secret weapon in your battle against everyday life.

I've been meaning to try this place for awhile and I'm glad I finally did. I decided to go in for a Combo Massage as I was experiencing some shoulder and upper back pain. Peter did my massage and it was amazing! The pressure was great and he made sure to pinpoint all of my tight spots. Pricing was also very reasonable and they have a tipping guide posted at the front as well. I'll definitely be back!

This was one of the best massages of my life and it was a reasonable price!! They really live up to the reviews. Per the below review, I can confirm that Peter also broke me into a thousand pieces, then remade me whole again! HIGHLY recommend.

This is the place that listens to what you need and actually takes the time in the areas where you need without wasting time on a routine massage, but still gets to other areas where it counts. consistent quality too.
