Had my hair done by Garrett (was recommended by a few friends) and he did an amazing job! He was very easy to talk to, wasn’t judgmental, and took his time on my cut and color. Will definitely be back.

I recently had a haircut with Maggie, and while I was very pleased with the haircut itself, the hairstyling was a completely different experience—hence the 2-star rating. The hairdresser was unnecessarily rough and heavy-handed during the blow-drying and styling process.
She started with the front sections, using so much heat that my hair and scalp felt like they were on fire. From there, she continued tugging so aggressively while blow-drying each section that I struggled to keep my head and neck straight. I wish I had spoken up to remind her that my hair is attached to my scalp. It’s now been three days, and my scalp is still sore.
I’ve never experienced anything like this before, and I won’t be returning to this hairstylist. I’m now genuinely concerned about the impact on my scalp and hair.

THEY ARE RIPPING OFF!
I visited The Woodbridge on September 20 for a full highlight service with Nikki, and it was a frustrating experience. I showed her the hair color I wanted, but she immediately told me she couldn’t do it. Instead, she suggested some colors that never matched my wishes.
After learning she’d still charge me 50% of the full service fee if I left, I told her getting close to what I wanted was fine, just to avoid losing my time and money. That’s when she started dyeing my hair.
To my surprise, when it came time to pay, there was an extra $75 charge for bottles of dye that she used—without my consent. She never informed me that I’d be charged $25 per bottle during the service.
I ended up paying to avoid more confrontation, but I’m extremely disappointed. I won’t be returning, and I plan to take this issue to court. The way they add hidden charges feels like they’re ripping off customers. Stay away from this salon!

In response to Nida Apa:
Your exceptions and demands were unrealistic for a single blonding session. As I explained in our frustrating consultation, the amount of blonde you’re asking for is usually broken up into multiple full highlight sessions. We were able to achieve it in one appointment and you were very happy with the result.
During the process of foiling your hair, it became more work than anticipated. The amount of foils placed in the back of your head alone was the equivalent of a full highlight. This was twice the work. I moved my next client’s appointment later in the day to allow myself more time to work with you. I have to account for the extra time and product used in the cost. It is stated on our website that all services listed are starting prices.
I’m sorry you’re upset over $75 up charge for your 4 hour color service. In some salons, work such as this is considered to be a correction/transformative color, charged by the hour and exceeding the $75 addition. The biggest mistake I made of the day was preceding to perform the service at all.

Third time going to this salon. I booked a toner and blow dry two weeks in advance. I received a text 20 mins before my appointment saying my stylist was running 30 mins late. I called the salon and the receptionist was unbelievably rude and after we got off the phone, i received a text saying my appointment was cancelled. I called back and the receptionist said I hung up on her and that my stylist could see me two hours later. I asked if a discount could be provided to which I received a call from my stylist saying that her previous appointment also had to wait 30 minutes and didn't ask for a discount and recommended I look elsewhere. I assured her that i dodged not require a discount but was just seeing if it was an option. I was told that she often runs late and that it is normal for clients to have to wait and she doesn't extend discounts, no matter how late or how bad of an experience the client has.
I have never encountered such an expensive salon be so rude and careless with their recurring customers. Do not go to this salon!

Showed up for my 5pm appointment for a men's haircut. Stylist did not communicate she was running very late. Left at 5:25 after no communication from stylist.
Thankfully, they did agree to waive the cancellation fee they tell you in bold letter they charge if client doesn't show up right on time.
If you can get them on a good day, they do decent work. But they clearly don't hold themselves to the punctuality standards they hold their clients to. Which for a high end salon, is a non starter.
Not recommended.

I called one week prior to the day of a big wedding I was to attend to book a styling service with Nikki, and was given confirmation of my appointment by a male receptionist. Showed up the day of my appointment and was told my appointment was canceled. I never received any communication about this cancellation and was told the stylist wasn’t even scheduled to work this day. This experience was extremely unprofessional and I was left completely out of luck.

Friends, I am here to tell you that you absolutely cannot go wrong with Katie. She's cut my hair for many moons, and I trusted her to cut and color my hair for my wedding a few years back, and I have never EVER come out of that salon disappointed.
Let it be known that I'm one of those nightmare clients who comes in with a handful of photos I found on Google, with a vague idea of what I want. But Katie gets it! I think she has an intuitive understanding of what you're looking for, along with how it will fit for your hair and the look you're going for.
That said, don't...do that to her. I've already got that covered. But it goes to show what it's like to have someone with skills and experience to really bring your hair vision to life. From all the bangs, shags, bobs, lobs, to balayage, I've gone to Katie for all of the above and have come out of The Woodbridge happy every time.

What a terrific salon! I've been going there since they first opened. I adore Ashley, the owner! Garrett is also superb!
Ashley does fantastic cuts and color, highlights & balayage as I'm sure the rest of the team does as well. Since Ashley only works Sundays and Mondays, you'll need to book at least two months ahead unless you get lucky.
My only issue is that I find it a bit hard to book online and often no one answers the phone or returns calls but I hope that's better now.
It's a cute place and the staff is always friendly. I love it and hope you will too!

Jasmine did such an amazing job cutting my hair, and she has such a great taste. After I showed her some pictures of what I wanted, not only she did what I asked, but also made recommendations based on what fits me! I highly recommend Jasmin! Will definitely come back!

This rating is for Jasmine Lynn, Instagram is "blissed_hair". This was the worst hair experience I have ever had and the furthest from professional.
I had not done my hair in over a year and I left this appointment very sad, wishing I still had not, as I left with huge amount of breakage on top of orange hair.
Context: I reached out to Jasmine over Instagram where she explained if I wanted to discuss my hair I could message her as she doesn't give out her number. That wasn't a problem at all - I then replied to her asking if there was a solution we could come to, to fix my hair as I was very disappointed in the quality of highlights as they were very chunky and harsh, my roots were not melted/blended and I left with embarrassing hair as it was also very orange in multiple spots.
I reached out hoping we could just tone it down. When I came to the appointment I explained that I wanted to keep my brown hair that I grew out for a over year, add caramel highlights and when she asked about blonde I communicated it would be okay to add A FEW pieces of blonde. When I left I was almost fully blonde. I have been blonde for the better half of the last 6 years and it would have been one thing if it was a nice blonde. I could have just accepted that it wasn't what I wanted but at least it looks nice however, this was not a good blonde job at all.
This rating is a 1 star because on top of all of this, which could have been solved by another visit to tone me down and fix my roots, she decided that it was more appropriate to not deal with me and just block me on Instagram. I'm just in disbelief and extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and I highly recommend anyone wanting to go to this hair studio to check out another hair stylist.
I ended up going and paying to get my hair fully redone at another salon where I left and roots were blended, I didn't have orange hair, there was no chunk in the middle of my hair with breakage and my hair was actually styled in the end.

I came in to see Jessica on June 15, 2022. It was my first time visiting the salon/going to her as I was currently looking for a new stylist. For context, I love my usual hair guy, but his prices were becoming too steep for me to maintain. I found Jessica/Woodbridge after searching on social media for local hair salons. I found Jessica's work to be both beautiful and natural -- which is exactly what I was looking for, so I proceeded with booking an appointment with her. I'll mention that Jessica is both very welcoming and sweet. I didn't bring in a photo, but we did chat about what I wanted. I wanted to maintain my natural color with a few pops of subtle brightness throughout. I thought we were on the same page as she even mentioned that she felt me going too blonde would really wash me out.
For the most part everything went well, things felt slightly rushed towards the end as she was running behind for her next client. I thought my hair looked pretty as I left. The issue arose after the first time I washed it. I waited about 5 days to do so... after washing my hair I noticed it was not only a lot lighter than expected, but it was also super brassy and had tints of yellow . I immediately took a video of the color to send to Jessica to ask what I could do. I reached out to her on social media... never heard back... so then I emailed her and still nothing... so finally I called the salon and left a voicemail, and to this day, I still have never received any sort of response. I feel like this doesn't just fall on Jessica but also the salon manager or owner. I wasn't expecting to come back into the salon, but I was expecting some expert advice. Eventually, I decided to buy some blue and purple shampoos as well as a bonding shampoo. The combination of the three have seemed to help with the color, but have also been pretty drying on my hair.
I've debated writing this review, but I would say my main gripe (aside from my hair color) is I reached out several times over a six week span and I never received any sort of response.
The photos are screenshots of the video I sent since yelp doesn't allow for posting video to reviews. Also, my natural color is a medium brown color.

VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE
Four days ago I went to Woodbridge to have an haircut and make balayage on my long hair.
I SPENT 7.30 HOURS (from 3pm to 10.30pm) inside the saloon.
The hairdresser applied the color on my hair for about 6 hours and when he removed it the result was HORRIBLE.
My bangs was ORANGE, the first part of the hair was BROWN and the final part of the hair was BLOND/GREY. My hair was a disaster.
The guy was very sorry and told me to return the day after to talk with his boss. He scheduled for me another appointment for the day after.
That same night I wasn't able to sleep at all. The day after I had to go to work with a hat to cover my horrible hair. It was very humiliating.
My next appointment was scheduled for 5pm, but I received a call at noon from the saloon to move the appointment to the following day, "because they didn't have time for me and wanted to give me all the attentions to help me with this disaster".
I accepted it and I had to go to work with the hat for another humiliating day.
When I returned to Woodbridge the owner (who was supposed to fix the mistake) spent 1 or 2 minutes to look at my hair and then she just called the SAME GUY who made this disaster and left the shop saying "See you tomorrow guys!"
I spent 4 hours in the shop with the same guy, asking for the simplest color treatment to do which was returning to my previous color. I showed the photo of my hair "before disaster" to him and another girl inside the shop.
At the end of this 4 hours my hair didn't return to the original color. I have a kind of brown on the hair and a sort of blonde/brown on the bangs.
But the very SAD THING is the HEALTH OF MY HAIR: they are very damaged and unhealthy because the hours and hours spent with the colors on.
They only gave me some products for "damaged hair" and of course they didn't make me pay for the horrible color treatment.
Now I need to reconstruct my hair and I will spend a lot of money to take care of it. I hope I won't have to cut all the damaged part and make my hair a lot shorter (it took 5 years to grow it this long).
The saddest and most frustrating thing was the owner's behavior. In fact she didn't care too much about what happened and she didn't really help in fixing the big mistake made by one of her hairdressers.
I was never upset with the guy making the mistake and I was always respectful, but I was still expecting them to fix my hair.
I understand mistakes can happen but it is the owner's responsibility to make sure that they are taken care of. Clearly she didn't do that which made me feel like I wasn't a valuable customer.

The new girl that did my hair did it good the first time. I kindly went back because I decided I wanted a little bit more of the same blonde. She got upset and completely RUINED my hair. My hair was the only thing that made me feel good about myself. It turned out completely yellow after being a dark brown. The owner agreed to have it fixed for free and was very kind. However, it is still very far from the picture I initially asked for and I’m very uncomfortable with it. Don’t really want to go out with my hair down. I’m trying to get it fixed soon but never had my hair dyed before and really expected better.:(

I gave one day notice and got not one, but two stylists working together collaborating. I felt the entire experience that one feels when you enter a spa. It’s a complete vibe and experience involving great team work. How often can you walk in to a Salon and receiving the best of each person’s talent while being greeted and hosted out by just the gal you would want as your greeter. She was more like a concierge service. Thank you Garrett and Christie for proving excellent experience and expertise. They had to solve a serious color reconstruct and sent me off unexpectedly impressed. Loved the results and two days before my birthday . Feels sexy and fresh. . #Superb #HappyBirthdaytome #pampered

This review is for Ashley, who is a hair genius! Before I review the cut, I’ll mention that I ended up with Ashley because when I reached out to the Woodbridge asking about scheduling a cut while looking for a local stylist, they took the time to work with me about my needs and plan a consultation to make sure I was with the right stylist- instead of just slotting me in with someone. Based off of that, they decided Ashley was the one and oh my gosh I’m so glad they did. She’s wonderful and so sweet.
I have really really long, really really thick wavy hair (that hadn’t been cut in 8 months), and am SO uptight and picky about who I let touch it. I always have concerns going in that it won’t be handled right. Ashley immediately put that to rest. She seemed to take one look at my hair and know exactly what needed to be done, and also took the time to listen to me about what I wanted as well as asked great questions about my usual hair upkeep. I could tell before she even started cutting that she just knew what she was doing.
And for the actual cut- SO GOOD! First of all, she’s amazingly efficient. With the amount of hair I have, sometimes I’m in a salon for HOURS. She definitely took her time and was so thorough/detail focused, and I never felt rushed, but she also got it done without feeling like I lost a day of my life. And the end result was absolutely perfect! She is one of the very few people who have sent me out of the salon loving my hair and knowing it is going to to be so much more manageable and healthy. It looks amazing styled after the cut, but weirdly I can’t wait to wash it cause I know it’s going to be so so much easier to handle on my own!
The short version- she can take on a lot of hair, do what needs to be done to get it back into shape, do it phenomenally, and have a great convo at the same time. Definitely reccomend!

I'd made an appointment with Maggie. She'd mentioned in a San Francisco group I'm in that she just moved to the city and was looking for new clients and trying to build her clientele. I'd booked an appointment and had my hair highlighted and cut. She did an "ok" job on the highlights, but it was very brassy/orangish. I'd referred a friend of mine to her from Los Angeles and she booked an appointment for a major hair transformation, color and cut much shorter. Traveled to SF and had a horrible experience with Maggie's color and cut and was very unhappy (I didn't go with her). The most disappointing part is I'd called to book a follow up appointment for myself a few months later online and I was declined? I called the salon and the gal said Maggie had a cancellation for the next day at 1pm. took my name, put me on hold and after speaking with her said it wasn't available. Then I'd messaged her directly and asked if it had something to do with my friend and to this day, no response. I was one of her first clients and only trying to support her new business. How unprofessional of her to blow me off with no explanation at all. I do not recommend Maggie Bree K. at The Woodbridge. It's a high end Salon with high prices wherein we should have gotten high end results and service. She treated me extremely unprofessionally by ghosting me after I tried to rebook with no explanation by her or the salon staff. I refuse to pay top dollar in the city for this type of service and drama.

I have to come back again to thank Jasmine. After she trimmed my hair about 5 weeks ago I decided I wanted to take a few inches off to reset the last couple wayward cuts.
It's a week after my cut and it's just perfect in every way. It's exactly what I wanted. She totally reshaped my hair, took the exact right amount off and it looks full and healthy again. She is also just a lovely person with a great vibe.
So happy to have found her!
