This was my first time coming to Ona and the experience far exceeded my expectations! I have not straightened my hair in 2 years so I was way overdue for a straight cut trim and i was nervous. However, Ona immediately put me at ease! Ona was on time, professional and personable. I enjoyed our conversation, and her professional recommendations. It feels great to have found a hair stylist in SF who values the health of their clients hair over the end result! Can’t wait to return!

Ona did a great ob on my hair cut. She asked what I would like to have done and listened to everything I said. Also she gives an incredible shampoo and head massage. She is a delight to interact with and very professional.

As always perfect results done quickly! I swear I think she can do this silk press in her sleep because she does it so efficiently and effortlessly. Never a singed scalp or close misses, and she uses a very unique tool that creates flawless results without like totally frying your hair!

She was absolutely fabulous. She knew what would look good on me and styled more hair beautifully. She was very professional and friendly. I bought this deal through Living Social and if I could afford it, I would go to Ona every time for a haircut.

I really wanted to like Ona. She had great reviews and I wasn't looking for anything drastic, just a trim and a few layers, so I thought she would be a great choice. She was very friendly, at first. She was very appreciative that I took the time to ask her about her life. We were really hitting it off! I told her what I wanted and she spent a long time cutting my hair, which I really appreciated. When she announced she was done and handed me a mirror, I was surprised to see that my layers were extremely uneven and choppy (and not in a good way). It looked like a child had cut my hair. I asked her if she could even it out and she explained that since my hair was parted on the side, the layers had to be uneven due to the fact that I had more hair on one side. I explained that I just wanted them to be even on both sides. She got a bit snappy and told me the same thing she did before and was clearly not willing to fix the problem so I just gave her a tip and left. I am not one to write reviews, let alone negative ones, however, I think it is necessary to inform future customers of my experience!
