It's been awhile, but so happy to be back on track with Lorena. Just received her newest offering, The Amethyst Facial, and it was amazing! It felt like a therapeutic massage for my face, neck and shoulders with the benefits of caring for my skin with thorough cleansing, extractions, lots of hydration, and a peel to help with acne and pigment. She had described it as a facial to help regulate the nervous system and the service being both feeling luxurious and clinical - that is exactly what I received. Oh, I also added on the intra-oral trigger point treatment for my tight masseters and immediately felt more space in my jaw area. As a clencher and teeth grinder this will be a staple add-on to all my future appointments with her. Simply amazing!

So far I've had an incredible facial and a thoughtful and relaxing massage and both have been outstanding. After I got the facial, I went to a friends that weekend and got so many compliments on my skin. My husband told me that I looked younger. She recommended a product and it's been really helpful. Lorena does an amazing job at making you feel relaxed and calm. When I have the opportunity to go, I always get the Signature Recharge (back massage, facial, and foot scrub). Such a great way to recharge and recenter. Her studio is nice and clean-and inviting. You just know that when you come here, you'll be taken care of. I've had numerous treatments with Lorena over the last 3 years. Not only is she technically skilled and clearly passionate about both skincare and body work, she is also just an incredible person.
I'm a women who doesn't often wear makeup or dress very fancy, but Lorena's approach and messaging around beauty includes people like me. She doesn't make me feel weird for being so clueless about skincare products and I still remember in our first facial appointment I only walked out with a 2 product routine because she figured out something practical for me. Her massages saw me from 1st trimester to postpartum and beyond. We make fun of my stiff back and hips but it never feels like moment of true shame, which I've had before.
I always feel better physically and emotionally leaving her space and can recommend for either a relaxing moment or to support muscular recovery. I've never worked with any of the rest of her team, but I'd trust her to only bring on other folks who are similarly interested in providing a welcoming, inclusive environment.

I meet Lorena two years ago after having my baby and desperately needed a massage. Lorena was recommended by my doula. I been going to Lorena for massages and facials. Lorena has a great touch and a great masseuse. Her experience in skincare and facial leaves my skin radiant.
Lorena has helped me with glowing skin using natural products and relax after caring for a toddler. Even my husband goes to her now for a massage. Great gift for mother/father day and birthday! We strongly recommend Lorena.

Lorena and Thy are amazing. I've been going to Lorena for over a year. She's taught me about my skin and helped me improve my skincare routine to my individual wants and needs. She always makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. I leave my appointment feeling rejuvenated and gorgeous.
I booked a facial for my teen daughter for her birthday recently and I couldn't believe her results. A week later she's still glowing. It was her first facial ever. She really enjoyed it and was so happy with the results.

Warning: I have high expectations because my first massage ever was on the lovely island of Maui!
I have been following Lorena with Unfiltered Beauty since their Pacifica location by recommendation of a friend. I was hesitant, but after my first visit I have gone as often as my schedule has allowed me to go.
No matter the time that has gone by between sessions, Lorena remembers details about you and you get an experience tailored to your needs. I started off as someone who couldn't tolerate much pressure, but badly needed some TLC in her back and Lorena worked with that. Today, my massage needed some extra elbow pressure added into it and Lorena knew exactly how to get the numerous knots out without making me cry in pain. She is very receptive to your needs and easy to work with.
With Lorena, I experienced my first facial at the old Pacifica location and oh my goodness. I filled out a questionnaire beforehand and she was ready for me when I arrived. Today, I went for a post-baby recharge and oh my goodness the facial was amazing in preparation for my wedding in September. She does not try to sell you things you do not need and she helps you find what works for your situation.
I saw her for a massage while I was pregnant and I was a bit nervous, but she made me feel super comfortable and worked out the kinks in my back.
For some who love the spa experience of a sauna, hot tub, etc this might not be for you. Don't get me wrong I enjoy all of those too, but I think the personalized treatment is hands down much more rewarding and I will continue to go back and follow her anywhere because it's worth it. I live in Burlingame and it definitely is a little bit of a trek, but SO worth it!!!

Last week, I went to my first facial with Thy (like "tea") and WOW! I am so impressed! Five days later, and I still find myself touching my face and being shocked by how smooth and healthy my skin feels.
I discovered Unfiltered Beauty while chatting with friends; one of them used to own a spa and the other is very particular about his skin - so they have high standards for estheticians.
I was nervous about trying a new spot, but Thy put me at ease as soon as I walked in. She is friendly and approachable and kind--but also incredibly professional. As soon as she starts talking about skincare, you know she is a master at what she does.
Thy gave me a custom facial, and explained why she chose each component that she did throughout the process. She has a variety of cool, high-tech tools, but the essence of the facial was in her deep knowledge and soothing, nurturing craft. I was (pleasantly!) surprised that the soothing 75 minutes included so many pieces; Thy maintains a smooth, consistent rhythm that ties it all together and allows you to truly relax. I am a convert, and I'll be going back as soon as my skin starts to get dry and dull again!
